Sustainability: A Better Way to Welcome Our Guests
July 9, 2026
BlogAt Regency Hotels, we believe hospitality goes far beyond providing an excellent stay. It also means making a positive contribution to our guests, our community, and the environment around us.
Sustainability is an integral part of how we operate each of our hotels. We follow a process of continuous improvement based on quality, safety, and environmental management standards, while promoting respect for biodiversity, human rights, and employee well-being.
As part of this commitment, we have developed an ongoing program of virtual and in-person training sessions to strengthen our teams’ skills and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Our commitment is also reflected in practical measures designed to reduce our environmental impact. We are working to reduce the use of single-use plastics and eliminate individual water bottles whenever possible. At selected hotels, we use ozone-based technology to optimize window cleaning and reduce the use of chemicals.
We also encourage waste sorting through clearly labeled recycling bins and invite our guests to take part. In addition, we continue to implement energy-efficient solutions, including LED lighting and heat pumps.
Supporting Our Community
We support the local economy by prioritizing the responsible purchase of goods and services from nearby suppliers, contributing to sustainable development and strengthening our connection with the community.
We also invite our guests to embrace a more mindful way of traveling by exploring Montevideo on foot or by bicycle, discovering its cultural heritage, supporting local businesses, and caring for the places they visit.
Sustainability is not a one-time initiative, but an ongoing process of growth and improvement. We will continue to introduce new measures that allow comfort, quality service, and environmental responsibility to coexist naturally.
Because every stay can leave our guests with lasting memories while also making a positive contribution to the destination we share.
